1. Cut the onions into thin slices and chop the garlic. In a frying pan, simmer for about 3 minutes in olive oil.
2. Add the tomatoes and leave to simmer for another 3 minutes. Season with herbs and pour in the broth. Cook on low heat and stir occasionally.
